My Problem
The phone was about 3.5 years old, and my roommate's phone always seemed to be plugged in to charge.
My Fix
I had replaced my iPhone 6s Plus battery the day before, so this repair went more quickly. The TouchID cable was the challenge in this repair, since the iPhone 6s Plus doesn't have one. The connector is tiny, and you have limited working space to plug it back in. I felt fortunate that I got the cover to the cable back on.
My Advice
For this repair, I decided to rubber band the phone's display around a beverage as opposed to disconnecting it. That probably saved me at least 15-30 minutes. Also, the guide recommends removing the adhesive by pulling around the side of the battery. I think that's the right way to go.
