My Problem
My 38 month old iPhone 5c battery was no longer holding charge well. During normal use, its battery would run flat in approximately 2 hours.
My Fix
The repair went surprisingly well. Stories shared by other users were very helpful - take careful note and handling of the screws removed. Now my phone is working as it did when new.
My Advice
Be extremely careful, and patient, when removing the adhesive holding the battery to the phone. The adhesive did not remove easily for me. I took advice shared by other users - I heated a "bed buddy", set it on my work table, and kept it under the phone while working on the repair. With time, the adhesive was soft enough I was able to remove all of it and extract the battery.
