My Problem
Phone had very weak WiFi reception - even right next to the wireless antenna of my and gps was not working. I couldn’t use my home WiFi and using any gps app didn’t work.
After calling a couple phone repair places, they either stated that it would cost me nearly the same amount as a new phone, or that the antenna flex cable wasn’t the problem, so I thought $20 was a good gamble.
My Fix
The only real challenge was finding out what I needed to do. There were many people on the Apple forum with symptoms like mine, but no solution.
The repair went well - took me maybe an hour and a half.
My Advice
Patience - I used an ice cube tray to hold each step’s parts that I removed. Also using a plain white cloth on the table for visibility and to prevent falling parts from bouncing around. I’d seen repair videos where people used a paper to place parts in a relative fashion - circling each part with a pen. A good idea...
