My Problem
My phone wouldn't hold a charge. If it got cold it died.
My Fix
At 62 Y.O.A. I was leery of trying this. I made plenty of mistakes and it still worked out fine. Screws are small and hard to see and handle, but the tools helped. At one point I dropped a screw into the phone and got it out with the tweezers. Now my old phone works like new and I'm as happy as I could be with the process.
My Advice
Don't forget to turn off the phone after draining the battery and before you take it apart. I did and it still worked. Have glasses, a magnifying glass, and plenty of light. My little Philips screwdriver in the kit wouldn't fit well in the screw head, but I had a set of cheap jeweler's screw drivers that saved the day on that part. The battery connector pulls straight out with a little effort. Not a bad process overall.
