My Problem

Original batteries were swelling when warm to the point that the trackpad would no longer click

My Fix

We read ifixit's guide, and then watched this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfHHIERH...

Both were helpful, but we followed the advice in the video to reduce risk, and only removed exactly the parts necessary. Using the string approach, and ifixit's adhesive remover, the battery came out with virtual no effort or stress.

My Advice

Buy the ifixit kit, watch the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfHHIERH...

Get it done and save money.
