My Problem
The glass was severely cracked.
My Fix
Firstly, taping over the cracks as suggested to remove the screen does not work....at all. I had to literally scrape the glass from the case. Apart from the tediousness of this, it went quite smoothly. There was an extra tab on the screen that was not shown how to deal with in the guide, so there is a portion of my screen that is slightly raised from a lack of adhesive in that area.
My Advice
Honestly, don’t waste your time taping the glass. It just broke off piece by piece onto the tape but did not at all help in removing the screen. The iOpener thing they provide is also pretty useless, and I found a hairdryer works infinitely better.
