My Problem
My old iPhone 4s original battery was draining from full to 1% in a matter of minutes and was no longer under guarantee so I chose the diy repair option. I believe the problem to be caused by video gaming. My husband and I both have a 4s bought at the same time, only, he's not a gamer and never had a problem with his battery.
My Fix
After watching a couple tutorial videos on YouTube, I was ready to start. The tools were perfect and everything went very well. It was much easier than I thought and actually fun to do.
My Advice
1. be properly installed on a good surface (avoid working in carpeted areas in case you accidentally drop a screw)
2. have good tweezers, repair tools and magnetic mat (or compartment box) ready
3. take your time when lifting the battery with the spudger, try different places
4. work delicately to not move anything else while removing the battery
5. avoid fast battery draining mobile games, especially when charging your cellphone, it literally kills your battery life!
