It worked!

My Problem

The battery had too many cycles and was discharging rapidly.

My Fix

After a few nervous minutes dealing with the

small pressure contact under the top screw of the

battery connector, I was able to complete the battery

replacement successfully.

The phone works fine. But, the GeekBench 3 benchmark

gives almost exactly the same scores as before... :(

Perhaps the 4S is really old after all...

My Advice

Yes! Be very, very careful with the pressure contact!
