My Problem
Battery dying at 30 percent or spontaneously shutting down under stress. Discovered it was likely swelling as the screen was also peeling off.
My Fix
I didn’t expect a battery replacement to be very difficult but I blame Apple and the fact that my screen was peeling up from its base. When I popped the screen up, it didn’t bring the screen base up with it and I was confused into letting the glass peel off on its own. That is probably why it sustained some minor damage in the upper corner. I also discovered that my “new” phone was missing two screws. That was annoying...and I should have paid more attention to the individual screws so I had to look really closely at them to determine their lengths when I reassembled everything. Otherwise it went well, considering it started up and I haven’t had such solid battery life since I bought this phone.
My Advice
Put all your screws in a pattern cuz they are too small to differentiate. Use the tweezers to put the screws in the sockets before attempting to tighten them back in.
