Moderate

My Problem

The phone battery would not hold a charge and would always display the wrong percentage.

My Fix

The repair went fairly smoothly until taking the adhesive strips and the battery out.

My Advice

DEFIITELY read through the entire repair guide before doing the repair. Read all the details as it might be too late to correct something that there is a specific note about. The adhesive strips are pretty difficult to get out of the phone. Don't twist them or squish them and go very slowly. Batteries are also very dangerous so do not puncture it or damage it in any way. This is MUCH easier to do if you are successful with the adhesive strip removal process. Do not apply any pressure where the display connectors attach as the M7 chip is directly under them and it will likely damage connection to the chip or the chip itself. There is a cable running under the top of the battery that is not obvious so be very gentle in that area and only work the battery out from the bottom. If there is anything weird going on with the phone after the repair (accelerometer not working, sound not working, etc.) try force rebooting the phone before freaking out. Do this by holding the home button and the power button until the screen goes black. Phones are expensive so just BE GENTLE to the device.
