My Problem
Screen completely shattered when dropped from kitchen island. Mac store told me I had to send to apple to fix or replace, found ifixit and hubby is a tech so he replaced. Only 2 issues. I looked at iPad 4,1 on iTunes and figured it meant iPad Air 4th gen. Hahah not thankfully the which iPad do I have page finally got me the right one the second time around. Second issue is I can see wires(?) inside the digitizer. Can’t see them with the screen on but it is a little disconcerting
My Fix
great after hubby googled why the screen wouldn’t come on after replacing. I hadn’t thought to reset the iPad but that’s what it needed.
My Advice
Hold home and power after installing new screen to reset iPad
