Macbook Pro battery replacement

My Problem

I received a used macbook that had a dead battery. I purchased a replacement with tools.

My Fix

I reviewed the video that was on ifixit's webpage to replace the battery and also several others from Youtube. I decided to skip the first 2/3s of the instructions that had to do with removing the other parts from the Macbook chassis. I put the macbook on an angle and used the solvent to help with removing the glue. I am not sure if I used enough or if it just didn't work, but it didn't look like any of the glue was removed when I was eventually able to get the batteries out of the case.

My Advice

After waiting 5-7 minutes for the solvent to work, I used a combination of the plastic cards and a copper wire. I found that the wire was the easiest tool to use to cut through the glue.
