Battery was dying pretty quickly

My Fix

Pretty well, the phone works now, although battery improvement isn't as mind-blowing as expected.

My Advice

The guide could be more helpful:

1) In the suction cup remove adhesive part, the guide should be more clear about having patience and taking a very long time (for me, an hour of on-and-off suction). As a tip it also helps to do it on a bed or a soft surface in case the phone drops.

2) In the reversal stage, the guide should have talked about how to reapply the new battery sticker, that would've been slightly helpful.
