Replace shattered screen
My Fix
Unfortunately, when I needed the screen, iFixit was out of stock, so I bought one from another supplier. After a few days that screen started blacking out intermittently, with episodes more frequent and lasting longer each day. I bought the display assembly when it became available from iFixit, replaced it without difficulty, and it's working again.
My Advice
Stay with iFixit.
