Use a hairdryer and trust that they gave you the required bits.

iPhone 6 Battery Replacement

45 minutes

Moderate

My Problem

My Battery would not hold a charge long and would randomly shut off starting at 20% and then becoming 50%.

My Fix

The repair went well. I used an anti static mat and anti-static bracelets. Everything you need is in the kit other than an hairdryer.

My Advice

The adhesive strips holding the old battery in did not come out easily. Pay particular attention to the video instructions, Do not pull upwards and towards the top of the battery. Simply, pull out and away from the battery and keep adjusting your grip closer to the battery on the strip. Or, if you screw it up like me, the hairdryer on the case trick helps a bunch! Trust that the tips provided are correct, they are. One of the Phillips will work.

It’s alot easier when you remove the taptic engine. Funny thing is that apple designed the speaker so the adhesive is easier to remove.
