My Problem
Old battery was losing its charge in a very short time.
After reviewing the fix procedure, I believed that other businesses were way overcharging for the replacement of an iphone battery considering the relative simplicity of the repair.
I realize that many folks are intimidated by technology, it does seem like magic sometimes, so one needs a magician to repair it ; right?
Well, I don't want to play the magician's game !
My Fix
The repair went very well, thank you.
the tool kit was exactly what was needed, instructions were clear and packaging was outstanding.
Shipping was timely, and I understand about restrictions for shipping lithium ion batteries.
The extra screws were a nice touch; changing to Phillips heads was unnecessary for me but I appreciated having them since the originals are so tiny and could be easily lost.
I just followed the instructions and was successful.
My Advice
This may not be cost effective and I'm not advocating a change if it isn't, but how about returning the tools for the next user? I expect most folks won't replace their battery more than once before upgrading to a new phone (my original lasted 4 years!)
So the tool kit just gets stored at the users end and may not be appropriate for the next device.
