15 minutes

Very easy

My Problem

The LCD was damaged due to a drop

My Fix

Quick and easy. The manual was very clear. The part (being a full assembly) made the replacement easy.

My Advice

I had a hard time opening the hinges on the new part. My instincts were to pry it up from the panel using a spudger, but I didn't want to damage the LCD on the new part. I happened to stick the tool end of my Torx driver in one of the mounting holes and used the hinge pin as a lever to open the hinge mounting bracket. I assume they close these on the new part for the sake of shipping.

Also, it's easy to get ahead of yourself when following the instructions in reverse for assembly. Go slow and check each step. We put the bottom panel on before re-connecting the battery because we didn't bo backwards through each step.
