My Problem

My battery was notoriously short, and I refused to take it to the Death Star to replace it for some extra cost.

My Fix

The instructions were clear as ever in dissassembly. Unfortunately, the adhesive snapped off, so I had to resort to using a blow dryer to help me remove the battery. After placing the battery, I struggled for 20 minutes to plug in the connecting cable. My alignment was a bit off, and it took some finessing to get it in the right place. After closing it up and turning it on, well, it didn't turn on. I popped it open again and connected the wires. This time, my laptop recognized the iPhone, but the display was not working. I reconnected the display cables, and voila.

My Advice

I think I'm able to do it quicker after the dressing and undressing the phone. Something that's not addressed in the instruction guide is, I think it'd make the process easier to just plug the battery in place before placing it in the phone.
