New battery, new life.

My Problem

The original battery had swollen to the point it was warping the case and it had pushed upward into the touchpad, cracking it.

My Fix

Battery replacement is very quick and easy. I spent more time finding a white towel on which to work (it keeps screws from bouncing around) than I did performing the actual battery swap.

My Advice

Have all the right tools handy. Review all instructions fully before beginning. Work in a well-lit area. Keep your screws organized so you can reassemble quickly without confusing them.
