Moderate

My Problem

The HDD is just too slow to load some applications. The disk read/write speed is only about 120 ~ 150 MBs and seems to be getting slower.

My Fix

The instruction pictures are very clear so I have no trouble going through it. Do it slowly and you don't make any mistake. After installing the SSD, the boot up take less than 10 seconds. And loading application like Lightroom takes less than 5 seconds. Before the upgrade, it takes almost 30 seconds or more. The speed test shows disk read/write speed at 505/475MBs respectively.

My Advice

The instruction suggests the left speaker need to be removed. But I only loosen the speaker screws and slide the speaker to the left, then I can reach the screws for the HDD. Save me some time by not removing the cables for the speaker.
