Defeating the yellow light of death

My Problem

My PS3 wouldn't turn on.

My Fix

I repaired the yellow light of death, but when I turned on my PS3 it couldn't connect to the network or accept games..

My Advice

When buying anything make sure you know everything that could go wrong before you invest any money into it in the first place. Common sense.
