Battery Replacement

My Fix

Step by step guide was spot-on, but I had to reassemble my iPhone a couple of times before I got everything to work normally. My power and volume buttons wouldn't work because the connector came unplugged. Connectors and cables all seemed very fragile so I became increasingly stressed each time I had to open and close my phone. I purchased the iSclack to open the phone - after you add the price of battery and tools I think it would be worth the few extra bucks to have Apple do it!

My Advice

-Read the iFixit guide all the way through before starting.

-Home button cable wasn't a huge issue with the iSclack

-Adhesive strips work like the Command Strips. The key is to keep moving your grip down toward the battery as the tape begins to stretch. I missed that note on the iFixit guide and my first piece snapped.

Heating the back definitely helped release the stuck piece.

-Make sure the upper controls ribbon connector (the one underneath the 3 connectors you unplug to remove display) is attached before reassembly.
