Apple want how much to replace my phone?

My Problem

I found that my screen was starting to buldge out of my phone's casing and upon inspection I found that my battery was starting to swell. Apple quoted me over €300 to get a replacement phone, whole phone because they won't service the parts.

My Fix

I ordered a replacement battery from here for a really reasonable price. Within 10 minutes of me picking it up had my phone back up and running

My Advice

Try and replace a part yourself. It is cheap and really not that difficult to do. This experience was a nice lesson in how badly some modern hardware manufacturers treat and want to treat their customers.
