My Problem

At some point of time I pulled out my Macbook and it would not boot showing the "no bootdrive"-sign. After checking the drive via an external sata to usb plug and checking the internet for this issue i found out there are people fixing this problem with a new cable. Which is exactly what I did too.

My Fix

Following the Guide and already having undone most screws in my Macbook I had no real problems changing this cable. As I saved 10€ I had to change the bracket to the newer cable which took me some time fiddling around with the small cable and connector for the led on the bracket.

My Advice

The part of this cable which goes to the bracket has adhesive on it. The best way to put it in so it doesn't curve (it seems longer than it should be) is by starting at the side where it screws into the body and pushing it with a spudger into the corner. If you follow the cable to the bracket you should be fine.
