iPad Air Screen Replaced

My Problem

Little children dropped and stepped on my sister's iPad. The screen was pulverized in three places.

My Fix

I watched the repair guide twice before starting. It was very helpful and accurate, but since the glass was so destroyed I had to use a single-edged razor blade to lift some pieces. The packing tape I applied first did a good job of containing the glass. With patience, I was able to remove all glass shards and adhesive tape. After that it was no problem with disassembly. When reassembling after testing be sure the home button cable is properly taped down and tucked in before replacing the glass. Everything works and the iPad looks like new.
