My Problem
MacBook had gradually started to slow down and I was getting the pinwheel often. I thought it was a software issue, so I erased the drive and reinstalled OS X. Eventually, during the reinstall, the computer stopped reading the hard drive all together.
My Fix
I purchased a new hard drive and a hard drive cable. I tried the cable first. It was extremely easy to install. Computer runs like I just pulled it from the box.
My Advice
Instructions are easy to follow. They are designed to help the masses. Feel confident in giving it a shot.
