My Problem
My wife and I got a pair of 5c iPhones a few years back and now the batteries didn't even last an 8hour workday.
My Fix
I've been into these and other iPhones a lot (done ifixit screen replacement as well) so I didn't use a guide, I'm sure they are great. Popped em apart and replaced both in a half hour. Battery works great although doesn't feel quite as high capacity as when the phone was new (might just be optimistic memories, also different OS). Great price point, $50 and our phones work well again.
My Advice
Tips: I didnt buy the iopener heat thing. Just slowly worked it out by pulling the sticky release tab and prying with a butter knife. Probably a lot that could go wrong if you lack dexterity and patience. Also always do yours first so any mistakes or scratches end up on your phone and not the wife's.
Save some time: The full repair kit is only a dollar more than buying the battery and sticky bits separately, plus you get all the tools and stuff.
