My Problem
My iPhone 6 was over a year old with about 500 cycles on the battery and it didn't hold as long as charge as it used to plus the phone would give an inaccurate percentage reading and shut off at random low percentages.
My Fix
The repair was quite simple and took me about 20 minutes.

My Advice
If you want to save a few dollars don't bother ordering the adhesive strips because a high quality double sided tape works just as well, 3M for example. Also the battery is very difficult to get out of the phone because it is glued. It takes a decent amount of force to pry the battery out, be careful not to pry against any of the components as to not break them. Pry against the metal casing of the phone and try to slide a thin metal object underneath the battery to scrape apart the glue.

Omg do not pry on the battery use the ifixt iopener to gently heat the back of the iPhone under the battery and glue strips and they will peel off nicely . Pull carefully
