Replacing wife's battery, better to get the repair right the 1st time
My Problem
The phone would not hold a charge for the whole day after 2 years of daily use
My Fix
The instructions on the Ifix website are very good. The iphone worked after the 1st fix, but wouldn't charge or connect via iTunes. Thought there was a problem with the lighting connector part, but it never gave any problems before, like dirt inside the external contact area. After making sure all connectors I touched were really in place and still getting a no charge problem, I looked at a video to see what it would take to replace the lighting connector part. The connector for the lighting port is right next to the battery connector. I reconnected that connector and the IPhone was fixed after that. It now charges and connects to iTunes.
My Advice
I would add the connector names in a couple of the repair photos, and maybe add that it's possible to partly disconnect an adjoining connector inadvertently as there are so many packed together.
