My Problem
Screen had lines/"streaking" on the bottom half and also a green splotch on the left side.
My Fix
Success. Definitely a "varsity" repair job, especially the parts where you have to switch the front-facing camera/earpiece/home button from the old screen to the new one.
My Advice
Good lighting, a contained area (to avoid losing small pieces), and patience are required. To get the Home Button Ribbon Assembly off (with the two gold "buttons"), I ended up using a very small & sharp safety pin in order to gently pry up the edge of the ribbon so that I could get the plastic opening tool under it. The risk of ripping the ribbon is probably greatest here, so be very slow & deliberate and don't rush things. Also, take a good look at the position of the black plastic spacer (Step 14) before it comes out so that you can see how it will go back in. Note that you probably won't actually see the spacer until you remove the entire speaker assembly, since the spacer sits underneath where the top screw goes.
