My Problem
MacBook was running really slowly after Yosemite update. Decided to upgrade the RAM from 2 gb to 8 gb to see if that would speed it up.
My Fix
Very simple fix. Never done anything like this with my computer and I had no issues. It took about 15 minutes (only that long because I cleaned the inside of the computer while I had it open). Turned on the computer, so so so much faster! It's like I have a new computer.
My Advice
See if you can fix it yourself before buying a new computer. I hadn't used my Mac in months because of how slow it was running. Just assumed that my 2009 couldn't keep up anymore and I was going to have to get a whole new MacBook. Simple upgrade saved me $1000 at least!
