My Problem
Cracked screen/digitizer.
My Fix
Removed cracked screen/digitizer and replaced with relative ease.
Purchasing the kit with the tools included is a must.
Took all of 20 minutes to complete.
Directions online were good, but found better video resources online.
Once phone was reassembled the front facing camera did not work.
Disassembled phone, checked all components, reassembled, but front facing camera still will not work.
Considering I work as an EE, I thought this fix would be a slam dunk.
Can't find deeper resources to troubleshoot issue any further.
Unfortunately, the front facing camera is the most important feature of an iPhone for a 17 year old girl.
If motivated I may purchase a separate camera and replace.
My Advice
I owned an iPhone for 2 years without a scratch.
My secret?
Lifeforce case.
Spend the $99 and save yourself money and aggravation later.
If I purchase the separate camera the total repair will cost more than the case!!!
