Battery Replacement

My Problem

My mid-2009 Macbook Pro would keep a charge for less than an hour and I always had to have it plugged in. Decided to replace it myself!

My Fix

Pretty smooth repair. I didn't purchase the screwdriver because I thought I had the right one in my toolkit. I had to use a poor-fitting one and a ziploc baggy to unscrew the necessary screws and put them back. I put the baggy on the screw and used quick, short twisting motions to get the screws out.

My Advice

Purchasing the $7 screwdriver would make the job easier. It doesn't come with the standard screwdriver kit that iFixit gives with a hard drive replacement. (I did that about a year ago for this macbook, switching to a solid state drive.) Thanks iFixit for keeping my Macbook Pro alive & healthy without breaking the bank!
