My Problem
Laptop was super slow and battery was shot.
My Fix
Purchased new solid state drive, new memory modules, and new battery, along with a too kit from IFIXIT Thanks to guides, everything went smoothly, except I tore hard drive cable while detaching old drive. So I had to purchase new cable and then wait for it to arrive. Shipping was super fast for each order. Then, I used software install guide to format new hard drive and load OS X. Whole repair was very easy thanks to all info here. And, computer is like a brand new machine! Thanks!
My Advice
Careful with macbook pro hard drive cable. It is fragile. Also, be sure to remove screws from old hard drive to install on new drive. You have to have these screws.
