My Problem
My kid's iPhone 4s went all pear-shaped recently and then shortly after that the battery stopped charging. I already knew of your site and love your product so I turned to ifixit.com immediately. While wandering around on your site I encountered Brian's Wired article, published that very same day. Such an important issue! I shared it on my Facebook page.
My Fix
Brilliant! I had already bought the pentalobe and other tools needed but I found that the tools supplied by ifixit were far superior in quality. I had no difficulty completing the battery swap-out.
My Advice
Ifixit's price for the complete battery replacement kit was comparable to the cost of the battery alone from competitors. So don't bother buying special tools when the ones provided by ifixit are included in the cost and are of superior quality.
