YLOD is gone and saved $100.00 by not buying a refurbished system.

My Problem

Machine would not start in regular mode or safe mode. Was going to buy a refurbished system but had too many save games on the hard drive and PS4 isn't backwards compatible.

My Fix

Went well and took 2.5 hours. Had to remove the lid again since the lid was not in it's exact spot and wouldn't power on.

My Advice

Use rubber gloves. Use the tweezers for removing the white backing after the tile is in place. Before putting on the cover make sure the system powers up so there's no need to remove the cover again. Use a can of compressed air to clean as you go.
