My Problem
I'm about to embark on a year of backpacking, and felt that a brand new battery that could hold it's charge for as long as possible was a must.
My Fix
The repair went smoothly. The hi-def videos walked me through every step with ease, I had few questions or confusions. Removing the battery adhesive was difficult, as one side sheared off at the start, and the other half way through the removal. I ended up using the flat spludger to "slowly" pry up the battery from the adhesive, and then remove the adhesive from the shell. Reassembly was a breeze!
My Advice
I would pay careful attention when removing the screen connector; carefully note what is the socket, connector, and bracket. Also. in the event that the battery adhesive breaks off during removal, don't fret. Using the flat end of the spludger carefully pry up the battery by SLOWLY shimming it between the battery and case. Be patient as the adhesive will slowly give.
