My Problem
My MacBook Pro 13 would not boot recently. All signs pointed to the hard drive. I picked up a replacement SSD, formatted and restored from Time Machine via external caddy and installed it to no avail. A couple of online sources pointed me towards the hard drive cable. Came to your sight and ordered replacement.
My Fix
Replacement hard drive cable arrived and I installed quite easily. My MBP booted perfectly.
My Advice
Have the proper tools handy (I picked up a tool kit from iFixit as well) and work in a well lit area. Those screws are tiny! That and back up often. Only data I lost was work I did after my last back up.
