My Problem
I had an issue with the lightening connectors not working (charging) unless the charging cable was wiggled around and finding the right spot to work.
My Fix
The repair was more than I had bargained for. Replacing the lightening connector entailed taking pretty much everything apart inside the iPhone 5. The instructions are great and mostly detailed. When it got down to removing the lightening connector itself, there were 4, what looked like, spring washers that are not shown in the instructions. I concluded that they went under the lightening replacement part itself. also not much is mentioned about how delicate the cell antenna attachment could be. It took the longest time to fix the outer ring that is mounted to the processor board.
My Advice
Make sure you have a layout plan for all parts removed. This is probably the most important part for reassembly. Have a good amount of light, possibly a magnifying lamp.
