My Problem
Came home from work to a PS3 the was flashing the ylod
My Fix
I took my time and studied over the repair guide found on ifixit... Spent a couple of hours on taking my PS3 apart and cleaning just about every inch of it... Then took each step provided on ifixit on re flowing the solder and reapplication of thermal paste, I sort of had my doubts, but to my surprise when I got it back together I plugged it in and I came on... I was so happy, didn't loose any of my game data!
My Advice
Taking your time and taking not of what screws go where, never get into a rush while repairing any electronic hardware
