My Problem
Wii console wouldn't read disc. Tried cleaning and all easy fixes before deciding to replace the DVD drive.
My Fix
We used your (IFIXIT)guide and had it up and running in less than an hour with no problems.
My Advice
The only thing that will make the process ay easier would be to have magnetized screwdrivers and to use needle nose pliers rather than tweezers.For those who don't already know it's simple to magnetize any metal shaft screwdriver simply by taking a strong magnet and stroking it along the shaft from the handle towards the tip several times and you end up having a magnetized screwdriver. Also organize the parts and screws in order as removed by the instructed steps and reassembly is a breeze.
