Thought for sure it was the HDD

My Problem

I was getting the blinking folder with a question mark upon start up. Nothing was working, couldn't boot into disc utility, the HDD was nowhere to be found, even with a firewire which was odd (last time I did this, could still access it through my girlfriend's mac). I was sure that the HDD had died, but bought this just in case. 5 minutes after it arrived, my computer was back to normal. Whoo!

My Fix

Quick and simple. Use the repair guide on here if you need guidance, it's a very easy repair as long as you have the tools.

My Advice

I'll pretty much always check this first when I have an HDD issue. So far it's been this twice on the same laptop. I heard a malfunctioning battery (which I have) can make this part go bad more quickly. So that's my next purchase from this site.
