The user who ignored the apple HD recall

My Problem

Once upon a time there was an end user who ignored an apple recall on his hard drive. After the recall period was over the hard drive failed and he lost all his data. Along with the shame of not backing up his files and ignoring the recall He was also forced to pay for a new drive plus repair time.

My Fix

I ordered the correct hard drive specified on the fixit website, I installed the drive following the easy to understand directions. Reinstalled the OS and the end user was happy again.

My Advice

If you are careful and use a magnetic screwdriver you should be able to do this repair by just removing the HD cables and one other small cable.
