Bees stuck in iMac (2011)

My Problem

VERY loud buzzing noise like a swarm of bees had set up home in my iMac. After some research discovered it was the PSU.

My Fix

I live in the UK, ordered the part on Tuesday afternoon and it arrive Thursday morning! Amazing service. Having already installed an SSD, this install was a lot simpler. Followed the iFixit guide and had no problems.

My Advice

in my case the DC connector was a bit tough to disconnect. Using a spudger tool came in handy. The magnets around the outside of the screen can be a pain when putting the screws back, so a pair of tweezers are very helpful. Don't rush, take your time and you will succeed. :)
