Apple introduced the 5th generation iPod Touch in September 2012 featuring a multi-touch "retina" display with 1136x640 resolution, support for Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Siri, and AirPlay. The 5th generation iPod Touch was originally available with 32 or 64 GB of storage (model number A1421). From May 2013 to May 2014, a 5th generation iPod Touch with 16 GB of storage and no rear facing camera (model number A1509) was available. This was replaced in June 2014 with a 5th generation iPod Touch with 16 GB of storage that restored the rear facing camera and the model number A1421.
