The trick for me was a Swiss army knife after I watched YouTube and someone used Exacto knives instead of the plastic tools provided. I . . .

It is a difficult device to get open but with the ifixit tools and a second set of hands it went quickly.

My Advice

Get someone to help you hold the pry tools in place as you work your way around the case. Don't rush and you won't bend the case.

It took a long time, and the plastic spacer tools turned out to be useless cause they were too thick. I didn't use the putty knife technique, I used a box cutter to open it up to get the spudger in to relea . . .

It was pretty straightforward. The plastic tools didn't do much, but the putty knife is KEY.

My Advice

I ended up using the metal tool to flex the case enough to get the putty knife in, then just use the putt . . .
