Battery was dead
needed additional heavy tool (Screwdriver/knife) to open the iPod, for skilled/strong ones only!!!!

Battery would not hold a charge over more than about 1 day
Broke battery connector on main board. The connector is very fragile and even a little pressure caused the connector to fall off. Suspected cold solder joints because the solder pads were not broken. Resoldered onto main board and it worked . . .

Dead battery - iPod wouldn't even power on.
Easier than I thought. The whole disassembly and reassembly took 10 minutes. As I went along the side of the case with the plastic openers, the iPod just popped open. No damage to the case, no scratches, or anything.
The tools are definitely worth the price, . . .
My battery died :(
The guide was really helpful, but the tools provided were not useful. I used a small nail file and two eyebrow tweezers to get the job done
Just be patient and look for some vídeos on youtube to get a better understanding on how to dismantle it.
Battery would go dead within a day.
Replacement of the battery went pretty quick. I would say it took about 30 mins because I had no prior knowledge of dealing with the disassembly of IPOD's.
Be gentle on disassembly!
160GB Ipod was flashing apple logo over and over. When putting into Disk Mode it would work perfect, I could play music off of it and add music as well. This told me it was the battery so I ordered one here.
