My Problem

My room flooded, and water got into my laptop. I dried it under 2 fans continuously for a month, that dried off most of the water from the screen except for a little water spot that doesn't bother too much, but the magsafe port got corroded. The power adapter, when connected kept my laptop on throug . . .

Did not fix the problem

My Fix

I had school assignments due, so I couldn't wait for the tools, and had to take the macbook to the Apple store for same day battery replacement

My Advice

My Problem

Upgraded the SSD and the network card to something that would work well with Linux.

My Fix

It went well.

My Advice

Open the bottom by separating the front side and working around to the sides. Make sure all the cables are tucked in before closing the case.

My Problem

No charge in battery -- didn't even recognize a battery present. The MacBook Air was 4 years old, so I assumed that the battery would be close to end of life even if the cause was not the battery, so a replacement would be needed anyway.

My Fix

Easy as 1-2-3. A few screws and that's it.

My Advice

I guess -- just be . . .
