My Problem

My Dad's iPhone 6 was out of warranty and the fee was quoted at $309 USD to repair his earpiece.

My Fix

The instructions were spot on. I especially liked the little remarks below the instructions telling you to pay extra attention to that step while reassembling.

My Advice

My battery was not holding a charge very well. I was one of the first people I knew to get the iPhone 6 and my phone has been through a lot over the two plus years I've had it. My phone would just die randomly around 39%. Something had to be done.

My Problem

The iPhone's battery wasn't holding a charge long as it used to

My wife's best friend has an iphone 6... After 2+ years, she would charge it for the night and when she woke up, battery displayed 100%. 12 minutes later, it would shut off. If she didn't use it at all, it would last 30 minutes. She constantly had to keep a large external battery pack with her to . . .

My Problem

The battery life of my phone was poor, maybe 36 hours if I didn't use the phone at all.

My Fix

It wasn't hard at all, getting the stock battery out was a little difficult since there was some type of adhesive holding it to the phone chassis.

My Advice

I used a hose removal tool for cars to get underneath the stock bat . . .

My Problem

The cables to my phone were broken and I couldn't use it at all.

My Fix

It went without a hitch. I opened the phone and replaced the screen and my phone was working again.

My Advice

My Problem

Girlfriend's iPhone 6's battery has been acting very erratically. It would go from 100% to 20%, and sometimes it would just shut down. Once it has shut down, it then asked you to connect to the charger to power it on. I figured it would be cheaper to fix it myself than send it to Apple for a $80 rep . . .

My Problem

The battery was not holding charge and would last around 1hr

My Fix

The repair was very simple, I just followed the ifixit video and it could not be any more simple.
