The cables were on both sides of the underside of the screen. Rather than lifting the screen, it was easy to shift the screen horizontally to expose the connectors one by one.

Original lcd screen developed a black strip down the middle.

Repair went well except in the instructions it was specified to use a 6.5 torque to remove hinge screws when a 6 is actually required. Luckily a 6.5 doesn’t exists!

Take your time and don’t rush your repair. When using the heat gun t . . .
