My Problem

Father's iPhone 4 battery was dead, Batteries plus Bulbs wanted $160 to fix; YouBreakIfixIt wanted $60 to replace.

My Fix

Promplty recieved the kit, and never having done this before, except with android, fixed it in less that 15 min using the easy step-by-step guide om ifixit.com

My Advice

Read the directions, watch the video, AND all the comments. Learn from the mistakes others made and their helpful tips. Like warming the back of the phone to loosen the glue holding in the old battery. And foldi . . .

Battery charged and discharged too quickly.

OK - getting the cover off was more difficult than I expected

My Advice

Make the battery connection to the iphone connector first, before fitting the battery in place. Also, put a drop of dishwasher liquid nearby (dip tip of screwdriver) to permit holding on to the . . .

Original battery was on the way out - hardly held a charge

My Fix

The repair went well. The Philips screwdriver provided was all but OK. I did not expect a high quality one but it was challenging to get the new screws in with it.

My Advice

Take your time, go slowly and step by step. Pre-bend the wire on the new bat . . .
